This record is for Approval for Access product AfA440. This product shows the likely locations and boundaries of dune slacks for sites around England. A dune slack is a depression in coastal dune system.It is based upon a morphological definition of dune slacks and uses LIDAR Digital Terrain Model (DTM) data and a derived slope model. Each slack has height statistics calculated for it. The data are provided in Polygon Shapefile format. Geographical coverage is incomplete because of limits in data available. It includes those areas where the Environment Agency, Natural England and the Regional Coastal Monitoring Programme have carried out sufficient aerial and ground surveys.
